2 Weeks old!

I have a 2 week old!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is her 2 week birthday and she has just shown what a big girl she is.  She has breastfed all day, no bottle and has done so well. The NP wrote an order that if she does it for 15 minutes then the nurse can decide if she wants to just give her half her feed! Such a great day. Still don't know how much she is actually getting but I know she is at least getting a little so it is a start. 

We gave her a bath again today and the nurse had just got done saying, "It won't be long till her cord falls off and we can really give her a tub bath." and I looked down and it was off. So crazy that she is big enough for her cord to come off. The nurse asked if I wanted to keep it and I thought back to when Carly was little and I kept it in a little ziplock bag for a few weeks before I realized just how disgusting it was and threw it away. I politely declined the offer. 

I had my 2 week appointment today and can finally drive and do just about anything except sit-ups, haha! After having the c-section I thought I would never feel normal again or never be able to cough without wanting to cry but I actually don't even feel it anymore and pretty much am back to normal. So glad to have that part of this process over with. 

Well we have gotten through the first 2 weeks and I am actually looking forward to what the next 2 will bring. Can't wait to see how she will grow and all the things she will accomplish.
