FV Part 3

Wednesday we headed to the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame. Dylan and I were both really excited about this place. The kids on the other hand did not think it was that great. It was lots of old memorabilia and old people they didn't know. They ran around and played while we browsed.
The girls found all the pictures and dresses from the pageant queens.  That is about the only part that the girls enjoyed. Bub liked all the belt buckles and has decided he wants to win one.

Afterwards we headed to the zoo. This zoo was seriously amazing. It is built on the side of the mountain so you have to walk up hill and at times ride an elevator to get to the next area. It was so much fun. There was seriously only a handful of people there so we never had to share any of the animals with anymore. When we first got there it was quiet and there were no animals. Now granted it was like 30 degrees outside but I was so bummed thinking that all the animals were going to be hidden. Instead they had these amazing indoor and outdoor areas. We got to get up close to all the animals and even touch Giraffes. How cool is that!

The landscape was just beautiful here, especially with all the snow and ice covering everything! I can't image what it looks like in the summer.

The highlight for me was the gorillas. There were probably at least 8 in the enclosure and this one in particular was very friendly. She sat in this corner and would mess with Bub. It was hilarious to watch.

This was also the cutest thing ever. This little orangutan just turned a year old. Is it not the most adorable thing ever? Too bad they grow up to be so ugly.

After the zoo we headed back to the moutains so they kids could attempt a snowman again. Unfortunately the snow as still too dry and we barely were able to make snowballs. It was still fun to enjoy the snow since we never get to play in it.

Jojo did so good the whole time. He was such a trooper.

I think the Zoo was one of my favorite things.  I could have spent more time there if it hadn't been so cold. The higher we got the colder it got and I didn't exactly plan on that. Thankful for amazing kids who just go with the flow and rarely complain. :)
