Less than 2 weeks.....

Until my Mom officially moves out of my childhood home. Even though I know it is for the best and there are great adventures yet to come and tons more memories to be made it still makes me teary eyed to think that I will never go there again.  Because I couldn't imagine not having Claire's maternity pictures taken anywhere but Gammy's house we went ahead and did them a month early.  You wouldn't be able to tell with my big ol' belly but at least now I have all the same pictures that I have from the other two!

We have this one with both the other kids

We have this one with just Carly and I love that we got it with Clay now too!!

We also took a few goofy ones which I love!
I love how the sun is messing with Clay and Carly is doing her own thing!

After taking pictures we played at Gammy's for a while where Clay started acting a little weird and started burning up. So we started on a 3 day fever adventure. He was miserable, non stop fever for 3 days, coughing and not able to sleep. We watched a whole lot of Shrek, as in...... watching all 3 of them at least 2-3 times. I can almost recite them all now. Shrek #2 is definitely the best! We pulled out the trusty tent and it was one of the only times that Clay got up from my lap.

Finally on Sunday he started feeling a little better so we went on a little road trip with Dylan.  We fed cows at Cow Creek and got to see our Cow which we are pretty sure is pregnant! The kids don't get to go often and really love it when they do. Carly is going to be a good lil cow girl, she was calling them right along with Dylan.

Then we headed to Marble Falls to eat at the Bluebonnet Cafe, sadly once we got there the line was out the door, at 11:00.  I was so sad because I had been craving their Pecan Pie for weeks but there was no way we could make the kids sit and wait for that long. We got back in the car and went onto Burnet and ate at the Highlander. Dylan always raves about their food and I have always wanted to go.  It is buffet style and seriously lived up to what he had told me. So good and super cheap!

That night we went to pick up some stuff from my mom's that we are going to keep for her while she is finding a new house and found an old green chalk board. The old school kind! The kids and I busted it out today and now I just have to find a good place to put it up in the house so that they can play with it.  Just found out that we get to keep the ice cream maker for her too!!! Can't wait to have homemade ice-cream all summer long!

Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day.

  1. Love the maternity pics! My favorite is the one with you two looking at Carly and Clay on the sidewalk. So adorable! You look fabulous by the way...almost makes me want to be pregnant again ;-)

  2. Love the pics! I totally feel ya about the house thing. I don't know what I would do if my parents moved from their house. :( Glad y'all had fun Sunday and hope Clay is feeling better today!

Oh, and now I want pie from the Bluebonnet. Might have to settle for the Dahlia's chocolate chess. ;)
