We dyed our Easter eggs today!!! I love doing this every year but sadly never have very good results. I saw on Pinterest that you can use Kool-Aid instead of the normal dye kits and vinegar. So much better, they turned out amazing. They were much more vibrant and there wasn't the awful vinegar smell in my house and all over our hands. Instead we all smelled a little fruity.
Carly wanted to jazz hers up a bit so we added glitter to it while it was still wet. Turned out pretty cute.
She then told me that she wanted to color them with crayons. Not sure if that will work but I told her we would try tomorrow after they are all dried.
We are going to leave them out Saturday evening for the Easter Bunny to hide for us. I just can't wait to make Egg Salad sandwiches with them! Yum Yum!!
On another note, we went to the grocery store this morning and Carly found containers that you can make your own Popsicles. They were only a dollar so we bought them and made Popsicles out of fruit juice we had at the house. She waited all day and after supper finally got to try them.
Clay made a huge mess and was trying to suck it out the wrong end. Such a silly boy! |
seriously watched Cartoons like this for about 30 minutes. |
And last but not least, I finally got Clay on video doing my most favorite thing that he does. He seriously is the most precious little boy. I just can't get enough of him!
Hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend!
How fun! I hadn't thought of trying to dye eggs with Kool aid... maybe we'll have to try that! Clay is super cute in those videos!!!
ReplyDeleteI totally had those popsicle containers as a kid and made every kind of popsicle. I really don't recommend making them out of milk! LOL
