Wedding Weekend

4 years ago Wedding Weekend would have been a close to stress-free fun weekend, with tons of drinking and dancing but instead was probably the most exhausted Dylan and I have been in a really long time.

Dylan's brother got married in Kyle this weekend and so we chose to stay in a hotel in Buda (next to Cabelas) so that we didn't have to make the hour and a half drive Friday and Saturday for the wedding festivities. It started out with us rushing to get to the hotel in time to get changed for the rehearsal dinner  only to find out that we left Dylan's starched jeans and shirt at home along with Clay's white shirt for the wedding. Dylan was a good sport though and wore his Texas Rangers shirt with pride the whole night.  The rehearsal and dinner were great and it was so nice getting to meet all of our new sis-in-laws family.

Our kids are great sleepers and I wasn't sure how well they were going to do at bedtime being in the same room as us and having to sleep in the same bed. The boys took a bed and the girls took a bed. It actually turned out really well and they even took good naps the next day before the wedding.

To kill time Saturday morning we went and walked around Cabelas and Walmart and then picked up lunch. My kids never cease to amaze me with how well they adapt to situations. They are so well behaved (most of the time) and pretty much do what we ask of them which makes trips so much easier. Bub always seems to attract a crowd. This time it was his outfit.... he wore a Aggie shirt and hat with shorts and camo boots and had to wear his glasses too. He was quite the sight.  He was talking to everyone in Cabelas and even called an older couple grandma and grandpa and started talking to them. If he wasn't mine I would steal him :)

The kids did ok at the wedding and even though they didn't perform quite like we wanted them too, they made it enjoyable to watch and it was pretty cute watching my husband holding Clay and the ring bearer pillow AND holding Carly's flower girl basket. If he wasn't cute already, he was in that moment. Love my husband.
The happy couple

My awesome family minus the mini

Carly with her new friend and fellow flower girl. They hit it off instantly!

Claire looking as cute as ever

Carly relaxing at the reception

Dancing with Uncle Mitch (the groom)

All tuckered out and sleeping on Pops
We had a great time and I am so glad that it has been cold today so that I had a great excuse to stay in my PJ's and watch TV and nap all day.

Sadly one more Thompson man is off the market.........there is only one left and let me tell you they are good men so if you want an introduction to the baby......I am your girl :)
