Clay turned 7 on Wednesday. I mean seriously what is going on at my house? They just get bigger and bigger. He lost his top tooth a few days ago and not only is he 7 now but he is also starting to look it.
Since his birthday last year was so sad with him being so sick we wanted to do something a little more special and fun. Dylan's dad was able to get us tickets to Schlitterbahn so Dylan took off for Clay's actual birthday and we made a family trip out of it. I was a little nervous about 4 kids in water at a crowded place but it was surprisingly doable and everyone had such an amazing time. The kids area already looking forward to next year. :)
Both of Clay's best friends have birthdays in August as well, so it was only natural to spend a day celebrating all 3 of them. We met at Gattiland for hours of pizza and games. One of the little boys is leaving next week with his family to move to Ecuador as Missionaries. To say we are a little heartbroken doesn't even begin to sum up our feelings. They have become some of our closest friends and there is going to be a very large void when they leave. We are just very glad we got one last get together with them.
When you get us all together we have quite a bit of kids, especially because there are 3 kids missing from the picture below.
We had the kids take some pictures of us parents and some of them were pretty hilarious. This was one of the best ones. Love these friends that have become like family to us. Doing life with this group the last couple years has been nothing short of an adventure.
Clay had an amazing birthday this year filled with family, friends, swimming and Legos.... all his favorite things. He even got a real slingshot and a real wood working kit. He has been busy since Wednesday building with all his stuff. So excited to see what he is going to accomplish this year and what the Lord has in store for him.
