Christmas 2013 Part 1

Christmas just keeps getting better and better the more kids we add and the older they get. So much fun this year!

My Dad came for Christmas Even breakfast this year and after he left I was having the Christmas Even blues.

The sitting around waiting for all the fun of Christmas Eve candlelight service and dinner with Dylan's family was just too much for me.  Well don't think that I didn't get a call from one of my best friends in the whole world who was calling to tell me she was on her way to see us….. KK and I have been friends since 2nd grade and one of only a couple that I still really keep in touch with. My kids LOVE her and it was an awesome Christmas surprise, especially because she always brings the best treats.

This year was my first year (that I can remember) to do a Christmas Eve service at church. It was wonderful and hopefully a tradition we can continue. I am in love with our church and our pastor and Dylan's parents and younger brother came with us so it was just perfect. Then we all came back to our house for dinner and presents.

The kids were so excited to leave cookies and milk out of the kids. Of course I forgot that Santa's favorite cookies are chocolate chip, which Carly Sue reminded me right as we were putting the cookies on the plate. Guess who forgot to make chocolate chip cookies this year….. yep that's right…. their awesome Mom, so poor Santa had to settle for Chips-a-hoy.  Then Clay decided that in addition to carrots, Blitzen really wanted to have some puppy chow.

Kids woke up early as usual for Christmas morning so we were opening presents at 5:45! Whew… so exhausting. Santa was super good to the kids and they had so much fun. Not sure who has more fun, the kids or the parents?
