We had an very uneventful week, which means that I was super happy. I love when we don't have plans and we can just do school and relax.
Last weekend we joined in on a garage sale at our friends house. It was a great day until the Aggies were getting their butts beat by Arkansas. We quit watching at halftime because I was getting super crabby. Thankfully they pulled through and I did end up listening to it on the radio.
This week in school we learned the letter U and all about how God made us wonderful. We had a lot of fun little crafts and projects to keep us busy and anytime the kids get to use glue, scissors and markers you know its gonna be a good day.
It says Carly likes cake |
Clay likes coloring |
We talked about the Bible this week, things like: when it was written, who wrote it and what it was written on back in the early days. Then we made our very own scroll with the alphabet.
I know I always have pictures of the kids in costumes and it's because they really do wear them all day. This week we were able to go buy their Halloween costumes and they begged me to wear them. Carly did school every day as Rapunzel and Clay as Iron Man. We finally put them up until Halloween. Pretty sure they would be trashed with food and dirt before Halloween even got here.
Does puzzles constantly in his free time. Has finally mastered the 100 piece! |
He even falls asleep doing them!
This week Dylan brought home a couple super awesome treasures for the kids. First, a tunnel he made and welded at the office. We are going to put dirt all around it and on top of it, plant grass and then it will look like a random tunnel in our backyard. The kids have played with it almost nonstop during the day and it isn't even finished. It has just been laying in the backyard.
He then brought home H braces and he concreted them in the ground so Carly would have her very own uneven bars! Pretty sure you are all wishing I would invite you over about now! :)
Last, we have decided to tear down the little shed in the back. Dylan has been hard at work and the kids have loved helping him demo it. Clay is pretty good with a hammer and so is able to use his destruction for good for a change!
Hoping next week is just as uneventful!
Love all these pics. Makes me want to go to your school!
