Big girl bed and the Octopus

So this week we studied about the Ocean and the Octopus. It was really fun and actually pretty interesting. I even learned a few awesome things about the Ocean and some of the creatures.

We cut 8 legs into a hotdog and boiled it and watched the legs curl up and it be transformed into an Octopus. The kids thought it was super cool.  Carly wanted to keep the disgusting hotdog and put it on the fridge to show Dylan. Pretty sure I vetoed that we threw it away.  I took the picture for her instead. 

Then we just did tons of puzzles and games all week. Claire is taking after Bub and does puzzles all day long and I mean all day. 

This week we also decided to turn Claire's crib into a bed because her 3am wake up call the last week had become torture. Not sure what is going on with her but like clockwork she would wake up around 3 and would be super scared so we would bring her to our bed. It is so glorious because now she just gets out of bed on her own and crawls into bed with us. No getting up or having to try to fall back asleep. She transitioned perfectly and doesn't try to escape.  She loves her new freedom and I love getting uninterrupted sleep again.
