CluBhOuSe

Dylan has been wanting to built a tree house for the kids for a long time but time and money have not let us seriously do it. The weekend he told me he was going to build a little clubhouse out of pallets. I don't really know what I expected but definitely not what he ended up doing.

It is totally hillbilly but I have to say I am so proud of it and seriously....... would you not have killed to have this when you were a little kid?

The best part is it was completely free. He used stuff that we literally had just lying around our house. He even added some of his sign collection to it, which adds a perfect touch.

The kids had so much fun helping him built it. Carly hammered nails and actually was able to really do it. Then Dylan let the kids paint it, it didn't really need paint, it was more just fun for the kids. Pretty sure I had to leave because the mess was out of control and at one point Clay was trying to paint one of the trees. I finally told him I had to leave.  I have a hard time with tons of mess. A little is great and super fun but little kids and real paint was a little bit too much for me. So glad that Dylan is the opposite and so our kids get the best of both worlds.

Then because Dylan can't sit still for too long, he started scraping the yard again for new grass. The stickers are still out of control at our house. So hopefully in the next couple months we can get more grass.

Pretty awesome and productive weekend. While everyone else took the day off from school we decided that our Apple unit is too much fun to miss a day so we went ahead and had school.

Now to make a sign for the clubhouse.... "No parents allowed!"
