This week was all about the letter A and apples and it was pretty much the best week ever. We had so much fun stuff to do that I got a little overwhelmed.
We read all about Johnny Appleseed, made homemade applesauce, homemade apple pie and so many crafts I need more room to hang them!

I had never attempted making homemade applesauce or apple pie before and it was so much easier than I thought. I might have added a little bit too much cinnamon to the applesauce though and it was a nice dark brown color. The one benefit was that my house smelled amazing, like Fall, which I am so ready for!
Claire loved it and cried when I took it away, Carly was on the fence and Clay pretty much wouldn't touch it. Going to do it again soon without all the cinnamon.
The apple pie turned out awesome. I might have cheated and used store bought pie crust, but it was still delicious.
We had a really fun productive week. We are going into week 5 of school and I am starting to really get the hang of our new schedule.
We have completely gotten rid of television during the day which has been both really good for the kids but also really exhausting for me. We did buy a Roku box this week though, and I am so excited to get to have more stuff to watch when we do turn it on.
Let me leave you with the cutest Aggie fans ever:
Saturday we all went into Walmart (except Dylan) wearing Maroon and pretty sure we all stood out like a sore thumb. There is a chance Dylan might have been slightly embarrassed! Hahaha
