I can't believe that Carly is going to be starting Kindergarten this year. Seriously just is so crazy how fast times flies and how you blink and your baby is already almost 6 years old.
Last week she spent her first time away from us without it being family. We signed her up for Vacation Bible School at the First Baptist Church here in Burnet. I was so nervous because she didn't know anyone and I had never left her with anyone and well just had butterflies in my stomach for like 2 days before I took her. She wasn't nervous at all though, she was so excited and couldn't wait. Monday came and she went into her classroom without a second glance.
I felt so weird all day. The dynamic at my house was so different with her being gone. It was quiet.... I always assumed Bub made the most noise but apparently not, or maybe he is just louder with her. Either way Bub and Bear played so well together and there was no fighting or bickering all week. Claire had the hardest time transitioning and cried throughout the morning. She would call Carly's name with a sad look on her face and would pout and then she would start dancing when I told her it was time to go get Carly. Pretty darn cute.
When I picked her up after lunch (they feed them too) she had the biggest smile and couldn't wait to tell me all about it. She even made a few little friends and was so excited to go everyday. Made my heart so happy that she loved it so much. The next day everyone already knew her name, other kids, older kids and the staff, which made my heart even happier to know that she wasn't lost in the crowd but was noticed and important to them in such a short time.
She already can't wait to go back next year and get to take Bub with her.

Won't let me turn the darn pictures, so get sideways to see her cuteness |
Well now it brings me to Kindergarten. We registered her for school back in April and then made an interesting decision about a month ago.
We are going to homeschool!!!!
I am so so excited about his new journey for our family. Dylan found us the most awesome school desks for free and then we let the kids pick a color to paint them.
Clay picked red and Carly of course picked pink. They turned out really cute.
I am having so much fun picking out stuff to use and getting everything ready in our "classroom."
I will keep you updated on our journey.
