So we finally tackled the living room paneling. It was seriously awful. Honestly though I can't complain, Dylan did most of the work. I love how it turned out. I feel like it is so much more open and isn't quite so dark.
What do you think?
We also did a new project in the backyard. I loved the kids play area at our other house.
I loved not having to worry about weeds or dog poop in their toys and we wanted to do the same kind of thing at this house. We had talked about it and then one day Dylan comes home from work with the wood timbers to put around the edge of their play area and just starts doing it. I seriously love that about my husband.
So it is now finished and I think it looks so great. There is tons of room for the kids to play and all the play equipment comes off the mesquite tree. We eventually want to build a little tree house up in it but we have promised no more summer projects so look for that later.
If that wasn't enough, our sister-in-laws parents graciously gave us a trampoline. It is in perfect condition and we are seriously so grateful and just excited about it. The kids LOVE it. We play on it countless times throughout the day.
Last I was able to talk Dylan into a summer toy for the kids. I am too cheap to go to swimming pools throughout the summer and it is also just too hard with one adult and 3 kids who can't swim yet. I saw an ad in the Academy flyer for one of those blow up water slides and a week later we went and got it. Might be the best purchase of the year. It is awesome and entertains the kids for a couple hours. Going to be so great for over the summer. Not going to lie, I even got in it and played with them. I am over the weight limit to climb up the rock wall but with my Mom holding the other side I was able to safely make it up so I could try the slide out!
So bring on the summer cause we are ready!
