Christmas Christmas and then some more Christmas

My kids might be a little spoiled. In a good way of course, but spoiled non the less. We got more toys from family and friends than we can handle which means that we got to go through all our toys and have a few boxes of "in perfect condition" toys to donate. We haven't decided on a place yet so if you have any suggestions please let me know.

They weren't just spoiled with toys but with lots of love from everyone. They are some seriously lucky kids to have the kind of family and friends that we have. We were lucky to get to see all our family for Christmas at some point.

Christmas morning we opened presents and then went to my mom's for breakfast.  If you didn't already know my oldest daughter takes after her Daddy in a lot of ways, one being that she wakes up at the crack of dawn. Christmas morning was no different. We thought that we were going to get up at 5:30 before the kids and kinda get ready for the madness but Carly decided that she was also going to get up at 5:30. We ended up waking Bub up at 6am because we knew Carly's wouldn't be able to wait another hour to dig into all the fun. Both kids did surprisingly well the whole day without a nap but I am very glad that it only happens once a year.

Santa was really good to our kids this year

After leaving my moms we went back to Dylan's parents for Christmas with the great grandparents and aunts, uncles and cousins. The kids had a great time. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures over there.

We are so thankful for everything that we got and for all the time we got to spend with our families. Still trying to figure out the best way to really teach and have our kids understand the real meaning of Christmas.  Before opening presents we all sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and read them the story of his birth the night before. It's a start and hopefully we can built on the teaching each year.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and has a safe New Years!!
