4 yr WCC and Cereal

Carly had her 4 year Well Check on Monday.  As a nurse I can tell you that the 4 year WCC is the worst well check. I hated doing them because not only are they long, you have to do vision and hearing on 4 year olds, but you also have to give them 4 vaccines. Giving vaccines to kids who are now old enough to fully understand the pain is an awful feeling. Now transform into a mama and it is 10x worse taking your kid to go through it.

Thankfully I knew exactly what was going to happen so I had been prepping her for a few days and we talking about it again on the way there. I don't lie to my kids and always are honest about vaccines etc because from experience it is so much worse for kids to not know that they are going to get a stick than if they are prepared for it.

She did so awesome and didn't even cry! She wowed the doctor with how smart she is and was super polite.  Basically made me the proudest mom ever. She is 30th % for weight and 40th for height. My little peanut.

This weekend we gave Claire rice cereal for the first time. We didn't think she would be ready for it for a couple months but at dinner the other night she was opening her and mouth and trying to get food so I decided to try it. She loved it! She smiled and would kick her legs after we gave it to her! Excited to slowly start her on food now!  

Excited to have my first Thanksgiving as a family of 5! Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!
