Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Why is it that Christmas always seems to take so long to get here but then once it is here the day goes by so fast? I feel like it is so busy, even more so now that we have kids. We started out the holidays going to visit Dylan's grandparents best friends that live in Austin. They had never met the kids and I have never gotten to meet them so it was a great evening. Then Dylan's parents took us out to dinner.

My dad also came to visit and give the kids their Christmas presents.

  The next night we did Christmas Eve with Dylan's parents and his brothers. His dad cooked his amazing fajitas, we opened presents and watched the cartoon "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."

Christmas Morning was so much fun this year, because Carly is at such a fun age. She got everything she asked for and then some.

After we opened presents we went over to my Mom's house and had Christmas breakfast. Still my most favorite holiday tradition. Cooking breakfast with my sisters and Mom and Gammy Pat.

We ended the day spending time at Dylan's Aunts house with all his Mom's side of the family.  Lots of good deserts and fun times with the cousins and then we came home and relaxed.  Christmas is exhausting!

The kids got so much fun stuff and we are so grateful for everything. It was so good to see all our family and get to spend time together. Dylan had off from the Friday before Christmas until the Monday after New Years. We got so much done and had such a great time. It was rough on us all when Tuesday came and we had to go back to the real world.  We have already started out 2012 on a good note and are so excited about what the year holds. My best friend is getting married, as well as Dylan's brother and then another one of my best friends is having a baby. (actually it seems like everyone is having a baby) Seriously excited for this year, bring on 2012.
