3rd Birthday

I seriously can not believe that I have had my Carly Sue for 3 years now! She is the most incredible child and is such a blessing in our lives. We started the celebration the Saturday before her birthday. Dylan was out of town at his Family's farm in East Texas so my mom came over and ate dinner with us Saturday night and brought Carly her bday present. Carly is obsessed with all things Veggietales and Strawberry Shortcake right now so this gift was just perfect! A Veggietales Princess Castle.

Then on her actual Birthday we let her wake up to all her new presents (Veggietales: Little Drummer Boy, sand toys for her new sand box, new picnic themed play dough). I made her and Clay "C" chocolate chip Pancakes for breakfast.

My Sister Becky and two of her boys came over after breakfast and gave Carly her bday present and stayed and played with her for a little while.

Then that afternoon my sister Amy (they share the same bday) took us out for frozen yogurt with her daughter Samantha, which Carly calls Buggaboo.

Carly then had a surprise visit from her best friend Kayden. I wish I had gotten a picture because it was so sweet. Kayden brought her an Elmo Balloon and a big sugar cookie. She had also called her that morning and sang her Happy Birthday.

When Dylan got home that night we let her see her Big Present.... a sandbox! So far we play in it everyday for at least a couple hours. It is a huge hit.
After eating pizza we ate the Elmo cupcakes.  They turned out much better than I expected. I used marshmallows for the eyes, a orange runt for the nose and an oreo cookie for the mouth. I found the idea off of Pinterest (which is addicting, I don't suggest you go on it if you haven't already.) Carly loved them and so did Clay. We shared them with all our friends and a couple of our cousins too.
Carly is such a lucky little girl to have such an amazing group of people that love her.  Her 3rd Birthday was aabsolutely incredible, so thank you to everyone who made it so special for her.

I will do another post on her Bday Party..... waiting on pics from my Mama.
