"Not back to School" Vacation

So we are nearing the end of the year and Dylan has some time at work saved up. We wanted a fun little get away now that public school had started back up. Something relaxing and low on crowds. We found Jellystone Park in Canyon Lake to be exactly that.  In fact it was so low on crowds the couple days we were there that we barely even saw anyone else the entire time.  We basically had the entire grounds to ourself.

We rented one of their cabins, which had bunk beds and a little loft that the kids thought was awesome. There was a lot of fun stuff to do even though it was the off season and during the week. They have 2 outdoor pools, an indoor pool, a little waterpark with slides, a playground and a jumping pillow.  The kids were in heaven.....ok..ok and so was Dylan. I mean he is literally the biggest kid I know. The last day we were there we shared the waterpark with another little girl and her Mom mentioned how Dylan hadn't stopped running and playing with the kids the entire time.

Clint was off course the perfect camper. He is going to be the best little traveler with all the places we make him tag along to. These were his 3 more common places:

strapped to me:

hanging in his chair:

Or of course.... sleeping:
He is pure perfection.

The kids had so much fun and tonight at bedtime Clay told me that he wants to be a park ranger at Jellystone when he gets big. He figures once he get all his work done he can play on all the equipment. I think he has the right idea!

No campout is complete without s'mores! There was a burn ban so Dylan had to roast them over the BBQ pit but the kids didn't seem to mind.

I think this is going to have to be our annual "Not back to School Vacation!"
