Easter is starting to get a little more fun at the Thompson house. Carly is starting to understand what it really means and asking a lot of questions, which makes my heart so happy. The egg hunt is even more fun now that they know what to do and run like crazy to find them.
I have to admit though, I am the loser mom who kinda hates dying Easter eggs. I feel like it is pointless and a total waste of money. I rarely end up using all the boiled eggs and if you hide them outside, the dye always comes off from the morning dew and makes a big colored mess. I can't very well not let them have the fun of doing it though so we did it outside and only did 6. Maybe it will get more fun once they get bigger and can do it by themselves.
To celebrate we went to the lake Saturday with Dylan's family and as always had a wonderful time. It is always so relaxing. This year Dylan brought the fishing poles and him and the kids fished for a little while. Carly really loves it and I know it makes Dylan happy.
Claire's first boat ride was a success. She fell fast asleep after a few minutes.
I love that my kids love their Great Aunts and Uncles and feel comfortable with them.
Love even more that they love their Great Grandparents.
Clay and Uncle Randy with one of the fish they caught.
Carly could stand to gain some patience (she got that from me) but overall loves to fish with Dylan and it makes it even better when you get to use your very own princess pole.
I seriously love her face in this picture. They caught some pretty big fish!
Being the only little kids on the Thompson side means being spoiled. They got tons of eggs which means I ate way too much candy this week.
Then Sunday we spent some time at my moms.
Another successful Easter.
