Bluebonnet Festival

If you know me then you know that I LOVE Festivals and Parades. I have the best memories of being a little kid running around the Cedar Chopper Festival with all my friends, which included my siblings and all my parents best friends kids. We would stay there all day playing at the carnival, shopping and eating way too much "bad" food and then I would fall asleep at the street dance either on a table or being passed around between people. Greatest day ever!

There has never really been a festival since that reminds me of the old days until this weekend. It was our first year at the Burnet Bluebonnet Festival and lets just say it did not disappoint. The Parade was incredible and had all the Pageant girls from all the surrounding cities (Lampasas, Burnet, Stonewall etc).   Burnet High schools band, cheerleaders, dancers and lots of really great floats.

There was a ridiculous amount of booths and a huge carnival.  We all had a great time, even with a few meltdowns by the kids. Next year Dylan is hoping to get the Atmos truck in it so the kids can ride in the parade. So excited that we will soon get to call this our hometown.

Carly waving at Cinderella.... that's right she was in the parade

Aren't my boys too cute! Clay wants to be just like his Dad.
Little Bear was such a trooper

Riding some of the carnival rides
Oh and Gammy came with us!

On a completely unrelated topic look at what my son is turning into........
That's right, that would be Princess Fiona's dress. He also enjoys tea parties and can name all the princesses and their movies.  That's my boy!!! :)
