I can't believe how fast time flies when you are having fun. Dylan and I are celebrating 6 years of marriage today and 9 years together total. Even though I don't really remember life without him, I can't believe that we have been together for almost 10 years. Simply awesome!

On our honeymoon in the Bahamas |
We decided to go back to where he proposed for our 6 year. With Claire coming in a few months we know it will be hard to get away for overnighters for a while so we wanted to seize the moment. We dropped the kids off with my mom for a slumber party at her house early yesterday morning and then headed to the Riverwalk in San Antonio. We got there around 10am and just started walking and shopping and eating. It was so relaxing (and tiring) to just get to do what we wanted to do without worrying about naps or if the kids will eat at the restaurant we picked or holding them etc. It is hard once you have kids to really find time for just the two of you but this trip reminded me that not only do I love my husband but I really LIKE him as well. He really is my best friend. We laughed so much and tried some new foods (lobster tail).

delicious! |
We stayed at an awesome hotel, Hotel Contessa, right on the Riverwalk and even went to an impromptu showing of the Hunger Games last night. The movie was incredible and even Dylan really enjoyed it.

Seriously LOVE me some Peeta!!! He was so good! |
When we picked up the kids this morning they were somewhat excited to see us, but had such a great time at Gammy's that they didn't want to leave. We were able to talk Bub into coming home by suggesting we play outside but Carly wasn't going for it, she cried about leaving Gammy's house until we got out of the driveway. Super successful trip for everyone, the kids had a great time and so did we. Much needed for all 4 of us.
I didn't get any real pictures since there was just the two of us, but we did take one before heading out to dinner......
It was a great trip! Thanks again Gammy for making it stress free and for loving on our kids so we could enjoy it.
Happy Anniversary! I can't believe y'all have been married for 6 years. I feel like your wedding was just a few years ago. Glad y'all had a fun weekend. It's inspiring me to go on a weekend getaway with Ryan. I have yet to spend a night away from Charlotte.
