It's gonna be a long winter!

I am so bored! We spend all of our time outside, I mean almost all of it and so this weather just really upsets me. I love the cold for myself but hate that it is too cold to take my kids out in for long periods of time. The kids ask repeatedly to go outside and each time I have to let them down. It really sucks. It would be worth it if it would snow, but no such luck.

Last night when  I put Carly to bed I told her that tomorrow we would do something fun. I didn't know what the something would be and honestly don't know why I even told her that but let me tell you, 3 year olds do not forget anything. The first words out of her mouth this morning as she was walking down the stairs was......"Mom, ok lets do something fun." I mean seriously it was 5:45, my idea of fun is going back to bed. So after breakfast I stripped them both down, threw them into the bathroom in our room and dumped paint all over the tub and them. I let them make a huge mess in there for a good 30-45 minutes. It was awesome. The mess was contained and the kids had a blast. The idea came from pinterest, but mine was a little messier :)

Have I mentioned how much fun 3 years olds are? Carly has started to "read" to us. She has a couple of her books completely memorized.  She gets so excited when she reads them to us. Her favorites are Strawberry Shortcake and The Potty Book.

Have I also mentioned how cute Clay is getting? He is at the most perfect age, he can communicate great but also is so loving and can't actually talk back yet. I just love it! He is into saying Yes and No, and he actually using them right. When I videotaped him tonight he was a little mesmerized by the camera but it is still cute. Normally he does it much bigger.

And last I can happily say the kids like it each other more than dislike each other, and here is a picture to prove it.
