Vacation

This summer has not be the best one the Thompson family has seen thus far but we have tried to make the best of it. All of our trips have been plagued by illness and I hate to say that I am actually so happy for summer to be done and school and our routine to be back in full swing.

Even though the kids have pretty much been sick since June we did get to get away and do some fun stuff.

Our first trip was to Weatherford to visit our Burnet Besties. We just relaxed, ate good food and went to the Fort Worth Zoo.

Then we came back for a couple weeks and then headed to Houston to visit my BFF Candice and her husband. We stayed with them for a couple nights. Lots of  swimming in their awesome pool and a Star Wars marathon.

When we left  Candice's we went straight into Galveston to start our beach house vacation with a few friends and their kids. It was 3 couples and 8 kids. Lots of fun. We had a  house right on the beach making it so easy to take the kids multiple times a day. The house was gorgeous!  We got to ride the ferry from Galveston over to the Bolivar Peninsula where our house was. It was very cool, except a bird pooped on Carly's forehead. I thought it was funny... her not so much.

Glad we got to do this but we ended up at the doctor again with Carly and Clay while we were there. Not fun going on vacation and feeling awful and having to go to the Dr. We keep saying we need a redo.

I did get to watch the Olympics which was a huge deal for me. Since we have zero channels at our house I was sad to think I wouldn't get to watch it.  Viewing party with all your friends makes it even more fun!

When we got back home we found out Clay had Giardia. It has been a rough couple weeks with him but hoping we are finally over it and can get back to our healthy lifestyle.

Hoping to have an uneventful Fall!
