Spring Break

While the rest of the world took off for Spring Break we over here at Thompson ISD decided to push right on through. Spring Break equals tons of people and I don't do tons of people unless it is Disney World. :)

We did manage to have a little fun mixed in with our hard work though. We started off by taking an impromptu drive to Fredricksburg and Kerrville on Saturday. Kids had a great time driving us crazy on the way there and back.  Think we are going to have to invest in ear plugs for all our road trips. We went to Wildseed Farms, Gibsons general store and ate dinner at Mamasitas.

Tuesday we enjoyed getting to meet and watch a real ballerina perform at library story time. Claire was so mesmerized. She dressed up in her ballerina tutu with a bun on her head just for the event.

Wednesday we drove out to Inks lake with my Mama. We hiked, playing on the playground and ate a picnic lunch.  Would have been perfect except we chose the spot a little too close to the dump station and it smelled real nice. :/ Kids didn't seem to notice and actually thought it was a little funny.

All in all it was a great Spring break even if we did mix in a little school work.
