Carly is 5 day post op from her tonsillectomy and is doing amazing. She was such a trooper and even though we know she was really scared, she was so brave and did so good. Let me tell you, there is nothing that prepares you to watch you sweet baby get wheeled off to go to surgery. I just kept thinking, "Did we make the right decision?" "This was a bad idea." So glad that is over! Hoping its our last surgery.. ever! Doubtful with 4 kids but a girl can dream. She is the best patient and has bounced back very quickly. I gave her the week off of school and she honestly doesn't need it. I have put her to work teaching Claire and doing school with her this week to keep her busy since she still can't play outside or doing anything active.
Clay has 2 weeks of Tae Kwon Do under his belt and is doing really well. This is his first activity we have put him in and so he is still learning how to do simple instructions but considering he is only 5 he is doing great even if he does get distracted really easy and is mesmerized watching the older boys.
He has been practicing learning all the Korean commands and yesterday earned his yellow stripe on his white belt. I had never been exposed to this sport before but after just a few weeks I am a huge fan. I tear up a little at his practices watching the boys and how they treat each other. There is a little boy who is not much older than Bub who I am hoping will become his best friend. After the instructor gave Clay his yellow stripe this little boy came up to him and without saying a word stuck out his hand to shake Bubs and then gave him a huge hug. Seriously had to hold back tears. The amount of respect and discipline is just incredible and I am so glad Bub is getting to be a part of it.
Looking forwards to hopefully years of fun at this place.
