Tae Kwon Do Tournament

Clay got to attend and compete in his first Tae Kwon Do tournament this weekend.  To say it was fun and just all out amazing would be an understatement. He did so good!  He got 2nd place for his pattern! 

He didn't place for sparing but did so good still. It was so fun and really funny watching these little guys fight. 

The tournament was in Giddings and so we went up Friday night and stayed in a hotel in Bastrop with a few of the other families. We went to dinner together and then Saturday morning got to experience Buckees for the first time when we all stopped for breakfast before heading to Giddings for the tournament. It was a great first experience with some of the best kids in Texas. They all treat Clay so well and are so good with him. I already see such great friendships forming.  After the tournament was over we went and ate dinner all together before heading home.

So thankful we get to be apart of this Tae Kwon Do family and this way of life. Carly is hoping to be ready to compete at the next competition in March and now that Clay has his first one under this belt we are excited to see how he improves over the next 6 months.
