Last Friday we took a trip to Inflatable Wonderland here in Burnet. It is only open on the weekends and is never crowded, which means I don't have to find my kids in a sea of other kids. Instead I can just sit back and relax. Thankfully I met another mom in the area who also homeschools. Our kids hit it off really well and we ended up staying for over 2 hours.
Then we went to the park Wednesday and again met another homeschool family...... and again kids hit it off and we ended up staying way to long. (Love that there are so many families in the area that homeschool!)
This Friday we took a trip to Georgetown and met up with some friends to go bowling and eat lunch. The kids had a great time. Much better than the last time we took them and it was pure chaos. It was actually somewhat relaxing!

Clay might have gotten my competitive streak and was a little mad when he didn't do very good. |

Or maybe that is just Clay's natural pose! |
Here are just a few of the fun things we do during the week. Sword fights are the normal around our house. Clay wears a belt daily so that he has a place to hold all his swords. He has also stopped wearing shirts. So basically blue jeans, belt, boots and about 3 swords are what you will see.
While we do school Bear is really good about entertaining herself. She loves to do puzzles, though she never completes them before moving onto something else. Loves to play with magnetic dolls and could color and draw pictures all day.
Carly has really stepped up lately and has volunteered to change diapers. She actually does a pretty good job. Going to really come in handy when Clint gets here.
The kids love to make their own lunches. Most days I let them, though the mess is about 10x more and some days I just can't handle it. We made biscuit pizza last week. It's one of my favorites, unfortunately the kids were not the biggest fans. They loved making it but didn't so much love eating it. Thats ok, it meant there was more for me!
We started our next house project last week and lets just say it is definitely time consuming and not all that fun but is going to be so worth it in the end. Here is a sneak peak...
So even though we stay home and are not very busy... we are totally busy. Can't wait to show off the finished kitchen!
